Gervase Markham: Cheap and Good Husbandry, 1648

7 books bound into one volume dated 1648:

  • The English Housewife
  • Inrichment of Kent
  • Farewell to Husbandry
  • A New Orchard and Garden
  • The Country Housewifes Garden

This was a very damaged book. The boards were beyond repair. Numerous paper repairs were needed.   The books were re-sewn onto single raised cords and covered with tan calf leather.  The original boards and various other items were kept together in a separate envelope and the rebound book was housed together with the envelope in a slip case.
